My Last 2008 Blog Post
Tue 12/30/2008
Well, I made it to Seattle after some serious delays in Las Vegas (where I successfully avoided playing the slot machines that are IN THE AIRPORT TERMINAL). I also found my sister's lost bag in the vast sea of mixed-up bags at the airport! And we all made it home for Christmas Eve Dinner. A Christmas Miracle!
It was snowing Christmas morning, which according to my Dad, has only happened in Seattle two or three times in the past 30 years. It was pretty cool. I have been taking it easy, wandering around Seattle with Rachel, hanging out with my parents and Ferris the dog, who is getting pretty old.
My father left this morning for Eritrea, (via Frankfurt, a 36-hour flight, ugh) to visit my sister Courtney. Meanwhile, Rachel and I will be heading down to Portland to spend new years with Greg, Gabe, Grizzo, Frunch & Gwyn and whoever else is around.
I probably won't be at a computer again until 2009 so I just wanted to wish everyone a happy New Year and say thanks for an incredible 2008. It seems like this year just FLEW by and I'm so thankful for all of the awesome friends and loved ones who made it a great year. Here's hoping 2009 is even better!
