Painting III #3
This was the second painting in our first series. It is the same model in the same pose, with the same composition, only this time in color instead of black and white.
I was getting really frustrated with this! The whole reason I cropped in so close to the face was to try and paint a portrait and this looks nothing like the model. I was still having trouble with my overly-smooth surface (an old painting gessoed over). Ah well, we only had 2 hours to paint it. Also, I think I'm just not a painter!
