For our next project we are going to do a series of 10 linocut prints. And they are going to be the real deal--with 4 colors. This means that we have to build up an image using yellow, red, blue and black ink. It's a bit of a puzzle because as you overlap the colors you get new colors (red and yellow make orange) but you also have to keep in mind that the plate will get cut each time you add a new color.

To help me visualize this, I made a photoshop document with multiply layers, which showed me how the colors would work together. Next class we will apply the yellow layer to our 10 sheets of paper, then the week after that red, then blue, then black. So I'll report back in 4 weeks with the results!
