For our last Editorial project, we had to choose a "Journalistic" article and then plan out one full-page, full-color illustration to start off the article (and sum it up) and then one spot illustration for later in the article (focusing on one aspect).

I found a great article in The Walrus about how teenager's brains are still "under construction" through adolescene. And how a lot of stuff that is usually blamed on hormones might actually be because of their phase of brain development.

ANYWAYS, here are a bunch of ideas I came up with, along with the final sketch for the full page illustration. My teacher kept pushing me to make the background of the construction site MORE and MORE crazy with detail (maybe as payback for my minimalist google piece? ;) I'll post another drawing up here when I figure out what the spot illustration is going to be.
