Probabaly the most amazing thing about studying art in New York is that instead of just looking at slides of paintings, you can go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, get in for free, and look at the real thing. Since we are studying Cubism, that's just what we did!

We had to draw one analytical cubist painting and then one later painting that was influenced by cubism. I'm not sure how much the Matisse was influenced by cubism, but it happens to be my favorite painting in the entire Met (which is saying something!) and it was right in the same room as the Braque, so I jumped at the chance to draw it (the painting is much better).
