Drawing IV #9
We have now moved on into "Synthetic Cubism" which includes collage. I almost want to say that I had fun doing the first one, but then it got "torn apart" (pun intended) during the mid-class critique because I am doing it "wrong." During the second half of class, I came up with this haiku in my mind to express my frustration with this class:
making cubist art
like a trip to the dentist
only with more pain
The second one (created one week later) was at a similar phase of development, got similarly trashed in critique and then I "pushed it further" and supposedly it is now really great... even though I HATE it.
I'm supposed to ruin the one on the left for homework. I HATE CUBISM!!!
