Aggggh.

Sun 1/9/2005

So it's been a week and I don't really have much to report. I've been drawing a lot. I've been feeling pretty sad for no apparent reason. I start work again in a week, so I'm just trying to get as much done before I have to get back in the rat race.

One thing I thought I should "officially" mention is that I have been accepted into Pratt Institute's 2-year Illustration program. I felt like this was common knowledge, but then I mentioned it yesterday in front of some friends and they all went, "WHAT???!" and I realized I never really talked about it here on the website. So yeah. I got in. And no, much to my parents chagrin, it is NOT a masters degree. It's an AOS, which is an "Associate of Occupational Studies," which is LESS than a B.A. for those of you who are keeping score.

So, yeah... The illustration program is REALLY COOL but also REALLY EXPENSIVE. So I'm applying for financial aid and then trying to figure out if I should go or not. It's all run out of Pratt's manhattan campus on 14th street (see above), so it would be pretty convenient. Plus it would mean that I would actually stay in the SAME PLACE for three whole years, which is totally insane, if you consider that in the last two and a half years I have moved from Ohio to Seattle, to L.A. to Sydney, back to Seattle, to Portland, back to Seattle and then here to New York. So some sort of "stability" might be really nice, even if it is going to put me heavily in DEBT.

We'll see what happens...
