Painting II #4

Pratt 2 / 8 of 73

Our fourth painting for the semester was supposed to be a portrait. I wanted to do a much tighter composition (focusing more on the model's face) but was told to "pull back" to get more of the form. We spent four weeks on this painting. I pretty much like how it turned out, but it seemed like I was butting heads with the teacher the whole time because he doesn't agree with a lot of the methods I was taught last semester. I tried a lot of new stuff in this painting, so I guess that's good.
