Not that anyone should be too interested in this, but I had to do four overlays for that Breugel painting to analyze it. In Comics order these are 1) The right edge rotated down (to make a square) then the diagonal of that shape crossed with the diagonal of the entire format (plus all the stuff it hits) 2) extension lines of various shapes and areas 3) the various planes of the painting and 4) the movement of the lines and shapes.

Actually when you pile all four of these on top of the drawing it is pretty crazy to see how it all works. Too bad the tedium of having to trace out all the lines and shapes outweighs most of the pleasure of seeing it all analyzed...
