Sudden Sibling Summit!

Wed 6/18/2008

Four years ago, when I moved to New York City, my sister Courtney moved to Eritrea, Africa. She has been there ever since!

Usually Courtney gets one trip home each year, usually in the summer (because she is a TEACHER). I was going to try and get back to Seattle while she was in the States this summer, but because of my hectic schedule (DEADLINES, MOVING, ETC.) I couldn't quite work it out.

Luckily, Court stopped over on the East Coast to visit our grandparents and then a friend in New Jersey, who used to also live in Eritrea. So today Courtney hopped on the bus and came into New York City for about four hours. It was a short visit, but we had a lot of fun!

It was a beautiful day, so we walked across Central Park and went to The Met for a few hours and then got a yummy lunch together. Bim bam boom, back on the bus! I wish I could have spent some more time with her, but I leave on a 7am train tomorrow for North Carolina and I've still got a TONNNNNNN of stuff I need to get done. It's going to be one of those nights...

If you're in the Charlotte, NC area, please swing by Heroes Con! It's going to be a blast. I'm bringing Gabe's old laptop on the trip, so I'll try to write some posts from the road!
